This session provides a detailed overview of common gram negative and gram positive resistance mechanisms, local epidemiology, and available laboratory technology to guide antibiotic therapy.


At the end of the session, the participant will be able to:

  1. Recognize common bacterial resistance mechanisms.

  2. Describe local antibiotic resistance patterns.
